And So It Goes
My birthday has past by, it was a good time. Friday night my parents took me to the Five Lakes Grill, which was wonderful as it always is. For the first time, I tried out my grandfather's drink, a Southern Comfort dry Manhattan with a twist. It was good, but I like something with a little more bite. The oysters rockefeller were sublime.
Saturday was mainly just fucking around in Ann Arbor. Had lunch at Zingerman's Roadhouse, which did not discredit the reputation that Zingerman's has with me. Get the mussels, the white wine sauce with garlic was excellent.
I swear there is only one movie theater in Ann Arbor, and everyone is there, all the time. After playing broken video games (how come the optical guns never work right at the movie theater?), we watched Lost In Translation. I loved it. I haven't had a movie really connect with as Lost In Translation has in a long, long time. Something about the idea of being surrounded by a throbbing hive of humanity and feeling alone is provoking.
