It's been a long time sense I posted, so I figured I should give an update. Things with Di go well, we're thinking about going out to Toronto for a long weekend as a birthday thing for her. I'm looking forward to that. I've just about got the billing system finished for dyn, this is a god thing. Other than that, not much is going on. Jeremy and Liz are going to come out in a few weeks, and I'm going to get a new bed soon. *shrug*
We got the servers in Detroit all set up. Went quite well, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. Right now everyone at dyn is just kinda winding down, after a couple weeks of nuttiness. I'm looking forward to getting Casey's stuff in place, and the billing system done.
Diana and I saw Bruce Springsteen yesterday. It was quite simply the best show I've ever seen. The only thing that comes close to it is Dave Matthews. Dave has a lot more raw musical talent, but I think that Bruce Springsteen is a lot more energetic entertainer. Either way, it was a great concert, and after the show we went to my folks' house (which is empty, they're out of town) and spent the night together.
I feel like I'm on cloud nine, after a long period of just floating though life... things seem to make sense again. Maybe I'm just nuts, or maybe I just got a girl.
She kissed me last night. Then we slept in each others arms.
So we want to this sports bar for dinner tonight, Tim, myself, and Martin. I think it's name was something like Damons or something like that. The food was pretty good, but we had this waiter that was like... Hello, I'm your psychotic fuckhead waiter, what would you like to drink?
He was a bad waiter, but that's not the point of this journal entry, instead... I would just like to note that he insisted on calling Martin "Big Guy". I don't not understand this, I do not claim to understand this. But, it goes with out saying that this is fucking bizzare.
Tim is out for the Detroit server install on Tuesday, also Casey is coming out so we can talk to the lawyer and wrap up the billing daemon, though I have a feeling I'm going to have it done before he gets here.
Other than that, just the build up to Bruce on thursday. Bruce!

Casey is out now, we've been hacking and other such nerdy things. I keep thinking about Diana though. I'm not in love, I know what that is.... but I am certainly in like. I haven't felt anything for anyone in a long time. It's like starting a car after being snowed in for a week. You don't even know if the car will run, and if it does -- the roads are icy and snowy.
I still think there is something though, friends make the best couples. You can't just be attracted to someone, you have to get along as people for it to work, and her and I do just that. My current thinking is that I will take her to Toronto. I'm not looking for anything to happen, but deep down I hope something will.
I feel boredom creeping in, I must find something to do... *thinks*
My ex called me today about the horses, nothing too bad, but I still don't really like to talk to her. Sometimes relationships just end in bad blood, this one did. Later on I'm going to continue my search for a microwave, I want to get it before Casey is out here. Megan wants to hang that night too, but with Casey coming in so late I don't think it will be a problem. After being mucho productive today, I'm feeling like relaxing. Relaxing when you've earned it is so much better. :)
So we've hired someone! I have a underling now, which is just soooo cool. :-). He's going to be up this week maybe to help me out in finishing he billing system. Should be fun, then later on Tim and Tom will be up and we'll install servers in Switch and Data. That will make 5 geeks at the apartment. Critical mass perhaps, but jolly good fun regardless.

Lots of people have been wondering how things are going with Diana. Nothing is happening, I'm just enjoying time with my best friend for now. That doesn't mean I'm not hoping for more to happen, but the best relationships I've ever had are the ones where I took my time, and enjoyed getting to know someone. Diana is very dear to my heart, and I'm not about to fuck that up looking for a quick bj.
On the other hand, she is a fox :).
In other news, I got a lot of work done today, but I was not successfull at getting my microwave replaced. Meijers (in a rare moment of inadiquicy), failed me. Tomorrow I will search else where, hopefully with a bit more luck.
Casey is thinking about coming out early that planed, that would be cool to me. We'll see how that goes. Servers and Springsteen week after next!!! yay!
