Tim gone, Weeds pulled, car driven

Dropped Tim off at the airport very early today. I drove home fast, going though back roads. Those kind of roads are deserted at 7:30 on a Sunday morning. You can just drive and drink in the bright, technicolor world around you. The windows rolled down, the sunroof open. Yes... I felt like the lord of all creation. I felt alive.

I then went to hang with my mum before Dad woke up. I love my mom to death, and early in the morning like that is the best time to be with her. Then we all went out to help my grandparents get their garden cleaned up. Both of my aunts on that side of the family where there, and so was one of my cousins Jay. Beer and burgers were served. You need that kind of thing after you spend 4 hours in 80 degree weather pulling think weeds.

On the drive home I briefly talked to Tim, and found out that there were problems on the work front, but that's a for journal entry at a later time - when I am rested and have pondered the matter. After that, I went to see Kate. I seem to be the only one calling her Kate these days. Perhaps its because I'm holding onto the past... perhaps because that wound never closed... or more simply, she is just a dear dear friend of mine that I miss.
